SLIDDING!

What a weekend!  We did a deep clean of our house now that we are back down to one dog, Rylie. Sookie is now able to go live with her parents at her house since Annie left. The house is spotless. We even deep cleaned the rug as best we could. The house is spotless. It left for a very relaxing weekend. We did as little as we could on Saturday besides make amazing dinner, Parmesan noodles and salmon. Sunday it warmed up to 33 degrees! We were confused. An increase of almost 60 degrees. We almost thought it was bikini weather. We dressed up and went out to play like we had a snow day. I unfortunately chose the wrong shoes and kept falling down. I am pretty sure my hips are going to be black and blue! We went sliding on the huge pile of hard snow next to our house. It was soooooo much fun. At first on the way down you think it is going to hurt when you it the bottom because it is almost an “L” shape when it meets the ground and you get going so fast. But then at the end you just slide out and are left with the climb to get back to the top. It is so much fun! Even Rylie got into it. She would run a little way down the hill and then lock up and slide the rest of the way down. She would sit at the top with her ball and then let go of it. It would run down and she would chase it. Best alone ball game ever. Since it was so warm out the wind wasn’t as biting and we sat outside until we noticed that Rylie’s paws were starting to get ice pack.  At one point I made a snow angel in the tundra. It was a very good weekend.

With all of this heat the water is starting to break up. It isn’t used to these warm temperatures. So the river is off limits again. We even saw that the shore of the sea is beginning to break up as well. This huge heat wave is weird for here.
